John W. McCarthy (CEO/President)

John McCarthy has acted as an agent of change through many mediums. He served as the Monmouth County Director of Students for Barack Obama, and currently holds the position of Monmouth County Director of High Schools with the NJ Student Democrats. He has interned with Congressmen Frank Pallone, Jr. and Senator Joseph M. Kyrillos. He  has worked in the non-profit sector alongside organizations in his community. Though active in the political realm he is also an accomplished musicain, having served as music director for several parishes. He has prepared standard and original musical selections for concert and parish performance. He recently graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School and will be attending the Catholic University of America. Mary Kate Guidry (Event Coordinator)

Mary Kate Guidry’s two great passions have always been fashion and education. She was elected Student Fashion Show Director at the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising’s Summer Session Fashion Show Production class in 2008. She was also elected as the Style Crew Director for the same show. Mary Kate was co-founder of the Red Bank Catholic's Junior Statesmen of America as well as their first Vice President. She also has a strong connection with her Irish heritage, as she is fluent in the Irish language. She recently graduated Red Bank Catholic High School, and will attend the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising in Manhattan. She will major in Fashion Merchandising and minor in Event Planning. Gabrielle LoPreto (Women's Education Chair)

Gabrielle LoPreto is a feminist who has recently graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School where she was Secretary of Junior Statesmen(person) of America. She will be attending St. Joseph's University, where she will major in education. Gabrielle's plans for the future are to start an organization to educate women in the Middle East which is where she will be travelling after she has left school. Gabrielle has strong political opinions such as a belief in: anti-capitaslism, pro-middle class/working class, women's rights, human rights, and pro-environment. During her down-time she enjoys reading fantasy books, swimming, and knitting. Ben Ross (Political Outreach Director)

 Ben has always known how important it is to educate and empower young people to speak up and have their voices heard.  As the state chair of NJ REBEL, New Jersey’s anti-tobacco movement, he has been able to help over 11,000 REBEL members speak up about their school tobacco policies and other ways in which the tobacco industry affects them.  Ben has also worked with the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids and many other tobacco prevention movements, to help in the recent passage and signing of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. Ben’s other passions are cooking, music and giving back to the community.  In the last several years, he has been building his own personal movement: Teens with Taste; their mission is to “enable young people to educate themselves about proper nutrition, physical fitness, and positive mindsets in order to lead healthier lifestyles, to encourage a healthier generation.”.  Contact Ben atBen@teachinghowtofish.org

Sister Mary Elizabeth Lloyd (Faith Outreach Director)

Sr. Mary Elizabeth Lloyd has been helping the orphans and the Child Headed Households of the missions of the Religious Teachers Filippini for the past twelve years.  Her experiences in Albania, Brazil, Ethiopia, Eritrea and India have spurred her to produce the book "Aids Orphans Rising" which attests to the positive work being done in underdeveloped countries. Sister holds a doctorate degree in Nutrition and Public Health from Columbia University. She constantly emphasizes the use of ones talents to bring about positive change.
